Bar Review: Duffy’s

Duffy’s Irish Restaurant & Pub – usually just referred to as ‘Duffy’s’ – is thoroughly unpretentious. The movie is based on the true story of John Crowley and his fight to save the lives of two of his children, Megan and Patrick. Both are confined to wheelchairs and require nearly round the clock care due to the debilitating disease they both have. Their prognosis is not good as they are expected to lose more and more muscle and some of their organs become engorged. Life expectancy for both is 8-9 years; the movie opens on Megan’s 8th birthday (Patrick is six).

Damages – Rating: C-

Historically, Damages has tackled one major legal case with each season. In season 3 the series will revolve around a story line that many viewers may be able to relate to. Close’s Hughes has been appointed as special investigator in charge of finding out what a diabolical investor has done with the billions he defrauded his clients of.
