Capitol City Brewery

There’s something to be said for finding house-brewed tap beer in the heart of a metropolis. Given that craft-brewing is still shy of the mainstream, and the space required to brew beer in appreciable quantities, and the cost of said space in said heart of said metropolis, one must first of all be grateful for the entrepreneurial initiative that makes the urban brew-pub happen.

Dublin Lawyer

I used to know a fish monger who called lobster the cockroaches of the sea. Now that was his personal opinion and I gave him that. Obviously he never had one pan roasted in foamy brown butter with a generous splash of Jameson whiskey and another of cream.

This classic Irish dish is great for the month of March. Always buy your lobsters live and personally I enjoy a smaller, younger crustacean. I feel the meat is sweeter and more tender.

The Red Biddy from Biddy Early Brewery in Ireland is the perfect brew for a rich seafood dish like this. It is sweet and light, for an Irish beer. The red is brewed with chocolate, crystal malts and bog myrtle from the mountains instead of hops for flavor

Players – Rating: F+

Sink the Bismarck from the good people at BrewDog Brewery in Scotland- it will take a few of these beers (with a 4.1% ABV) to make this show entertaining. Brewed with the idea of creating a beer with an incredibly high ABV, it is also surprisingly tasty. Also surprisingly smooth, Sink the Bismarck has a pleasant fruity, spicy aroma to go with its subtle sweet, malt like taste backed up by a strong hops flavor.
