If you’re planning a ten-day beer celebration in your city, you should start with a successful one-day event, then build a festival around it.
That strategy seems to have worked for Baltimore. Oktoberfest at the state fairgrounds is the cornerstone of the first Baltimore Beer Week.
The Chelsea Brewing Company (Manhattan’s only active brewery) held a Cask Ale Festival on October 9 – 11. The festival featured 40 American brewed Casks.
Traditionally, Octoberfest beers were brewed to be enjoyed during the fall, allowing all to celebrate the hard work that had passed in the summer months. New Glarus Brewing Company’s latest release, Staghorn Octoberfest, allows all their friends in Wisconsin to partake in this enjoyable celebration.
In the September heat, 8,000 beer fans sipped suds at this years Great Canadian Beer Festival. 53 breweries attended the 2-day event, serving up 172 craft ales, pilsners, porters and more.
