Over 50 breweries from more than 20 countries came together this weekend to showcase their finest microbrews, craft beers, and premium best-sellers at the International Great Beer Expo at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Cliveden, a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, will host a special beer tasting event and fundraiser on December 5, 2009. The 2nd Annual Cliveden Winter Beer Festival will showcase a special selection of seasonal and limited-edition holiday craft beers from the nation’s top craft breweries.

On November 5, 2009, we officially celebrated Bier Magazine’s one year anniversary at Wicked Willy’s in Manhattan. We had more than 300 guests that shared some beers and pizza while listening to the tunes of Studio E.

Barcade was the venue for the 5th annual Brooklyn Underground Chili Extravaganza (BRUCE), where 10 local chili cooks put their best recipe up for judgment.

San Diego, CA – Recently named the top beer city in the country by Men’s Journal, San Diego is hosting it’s first-ever San Diego Beer Week November 6-15, 2009. San Diego Beer Week is a 10-day event showcasing San Diego’s finest craft beer countywide.

Although the parades, drinks, and parties are always fun, I never hear of a brewery hosting a haunted house or a Halloween festival. It’s always labeled as an Oktoberfest festival. NYC Beer Week was celebrated during Halloween week, but was unfortunately moved to Labor Day weekend.

Bedford Heights, Ohio – Cleveland Beer Week, a week-long celebration of craft brews, continues this week with special tastings, festivals, and dinners all this week. This is the first annual event of its kind in northeast Ohio.
