Bud Light is the official beer sponsor of Salsa Fest for 2010, an outdoor Salsa festival celebrating Latino culture, music and food, which is scheduled to take place Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 12 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Turner Field.
Sacramento, California will celebrate its inaugural beer week from Feb. 22 to Feb. 28. Sacramento native and beer writer Dan Scott and a group of volunteering beer lovers have planned more than 150 events in up to 75 venues throughout the Sacramento area as well as neighboring towns Nevada City, Auburn and Roseville. Events will include beer tastings, beer pairings, dinners, educational seminars, festivals, trivia nights and more.
The San Francisco Brewers Guild will be hosting the second annual SF Beer Week from Feb. 5 to Feb. 12. For a full seven days, SF Beer Week will transform the city into one giant watering hole for beer drinkers near and far. More than 200 events will be taking place in about 100 venues throughout the city, including beer festivals, beer dinners, food pairings, homebrew demonstrations, tasting seminars and pub crawls by foot, bike and train.
Closing out its third touring year, the popular Beer, Bourbon and Barbecue Festival traveled well above its comfortable stomping grounds south of the Mason-Dixon Line in an effort to show the Yankees up in New York City a thing or two about eating and drinking your way into a coma. The show offered up a generous supply of over 60 beers, 40 bourbons and a selection of barbecue and the fixings from pit masters up and down the East Coast.
Oklahoma City based COOP Ale Works will be celebrating the one year anniversary of the completion of their first batch of commercially brewed beer on Jan. 9. To commemorate the event, co-founders J.D. Merryweather, Mark Seibold and Daniel Mercer will be holding an open house and beer tasting to the public to show their appreciation to the people of Oklahoma City who made their first year of business such a resounding success.
The Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA) has kicked off its annual search for the world’s best beers, with UK brewers encouraged to enter the second largest beer competition of its kind, joining the global battle for beer supremacy.
