The 4th Annual North Fork Craft Beer, BBQ & Wine Festival will take place at Martha Clara Vineyards in Jamesport on August 14, 2010. It will also be an official polling place for the 2010 Samuel Adams Beer Lover’s Choice national taste test. Bert Boyce, the Brewer for Samuel Adams, will make a special guest appearance at the summer festival to meet and greet attendees and preside over the polling station.

Summer hit DC at least a month early, and now the city is in High Festival season – punctuated by Fourth of July celebrations.
Whether you are seized by a spirit of jingoism, you want to express your appreciation for all the good things (or ignore all the bad things) to be found in the US of A, or you just need a good excuse to go eat something grilled and wash it down with copious amounts of domestic, micro-brewed beer, there are places to enjoy Independence Day throughout the DC area.

This is a quick version of the Italian classic porchetta which encompasses a whole hog boned and wrapped together and roasted to create something magnificent. The quality of pork is of the utmost importance as it would be in Italy. We will then rub it down with aromatics and dump some delicious beer over it to marinate for about 6 hours prior to oven roasting it.

Bonnaroo is a lot to take in. All there is to experience can certainly take a toll on a person. Thankfully, there were plenty of food and beverage vendors scattered all over the venue. However, the best and most refreshing way to (legally) wind down and relax at Bonnaroo was in the festival’s unique Broo’ers Tent.

The 2010 Washington Brewers Festival will return to Saint Edward State Park this coming Father’s Day Weekend with a beer list that will include summer seasonals and longtime festival favorites to rare vintage gems and the latest releases from some of the newest breweries in the region. Two hundred beers will be available for tasting.

Raising funds for three worthy Long Island non-profit groups, Camp Pa-qua-tuck, Lighthouse Mission, and the Bellport High School Scholarship Fund, an evening of great food and drink is planned for June 10, 2010 from 6-10pm at the Bellport Country Club. The event is sponsored by the Bellport Chamber of Commerce, South Shore Wine & Liquors, and Bellport Cold Beer and Soda.

One again, the International Beer Expo will take place June 5 at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. The annual international beer tasting extravaganza, will showcase more than 75 breweries from across the globe, each providing samples of their country’s proudest brewing achievement.

Splashes of Hope, a Long Island nonprofit, gave beer drinkers a reason to raise their glasses at their 5th annual Huntington Village Pub and Restaurant Stroll on Saturday, May 15.
