My heart sank when I came across the story about the recent shooting in Manchester, Connecticut. My prayers go out to the families and friends of those who were killed.

Anyone that has read any of my previous posts can tell that I love sports. I love the thrill of competition, the agony of defeat, and the celebrating that goes on when your team wins.

It seems like there have been a number of football players getting in trouble with the law lately.

It’s times like these when I wish I had the option to jump on a plane from New York and fly to Wisconsin. Sprecher Brewing Company, the Wisconsin Beef Council (WBC) and Keg-a-Que are having the third annual Wisconsin State Fair grilling competition, Grilling with Beer.

Nose tackles are generally very large, somewhat athletic men that are able to force teams to use multiple blockers to take care of him. As a consequence, the linebackers make all the tackles while the nose tackle does the hard work.

I just found out that Mac’s Tavern, the real-life bar from the TV Show It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, opened this month in Philadelphia’s Old City neighborhood. Mac’s Tavern has 17 beers on tap, gastropub fare, a jukebox and occasional acoustic musical talent.

Another change to this year’s tournament is in the venue. For the second year in a row the tournament will be held entirely within the United States. All games were played in Colorado at Glendale’s Infinity Park and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO. This year games will be played at Infinity Park once again, but the last day of competition will be held at Red Bull Arena, home of MLS franchise the New York Red Bull.
