I apparently invented Beer Guacamole as I cannot seem to find a proper recipe for it on any website. The story is sad, but true. I had a few too many Coronas when I was making guacamole and spilled a little of the corona into the guac.
Harlem Brewing Company’s Sugar Hill Golden Ale dates back to 17th century Africa where tribes brewed a version of the delicious historic ale, passing the well-preserved recipe from generation to generation. In the early 17th century, the recipe found it’s way to America where it continued to live on in clandestine production.
A few years back and desperate for a reason to celebrate, I discovered this Beer Cheese Dip and decided it was the perfect game day culinary salute to my cheesy northern alma matter. Unfortunately, the thoughtful nod failed to provide the Wisconsin Badgers even an ounce of luck, but I’d like to think that my fellow alumni were so stuffed to satisfaction that they barely even noticed.
There is nothing better than a springtime picnic, relaxing in the park with some finger foods and of course, a nice cold beer. Beer picnic anyone? In celebration of spring, I’m toasting to a recent Sunday Funday beer picnic I undertook. The quest: To find the perfect beer match.
