Baltimore is probably best known for its drug and crime scene a la HBO Series “The Wire”. But amidst whatever else is going on Turp’s Sports Bar and Restaurant is a nice place to unwind over a cold beer while watching the game.
Like any good sports bar should, Turp’s offers a variety of beers as well as their own signature cocktails. One can choose from their wide selection of beers on tap or by the bottle including Sierra Nevada, Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, Bass, Coors, Coors Light, Amstel, Miller, Blue Moon, Dogfish, Budweiser, Bud Light, Sam Adams, Beck’s Light, Beck’s Dark, Stella Artois, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Guinness, Guinness Stout, Heineken, Yuengling, Rolling Rock, and Michelob Ultra. Even your non-beer drinking friends can indulge in great cocktails and enjoy the daily bar specials.
In addition to the entrees and desserts found at a typical casual restaurant, Turp’s has your standard bar foods including a delectable Lobster Mac-n-Cheese and Crab Balls. Although the menu is already inexpensive depending on when you go you can count on experiencing some of their foods at a discount… including 30 cent wings on Mondays nights and half price burgers on Wednesday evenings
This is a laid-back no frills bar. Yes it is decorated in Baltimore sports memorabilia and maintains cleanliness so that you don’t have to worry about the health violations and lack of hygiene many sports bars but don’t expect to see any live performances or other eye catching gimmicks to reel you in besides food and drinks.
Check out Turps. It has awesome drinks at great prices, a prime location, good food and spectacular service. What else could you ask for in a bar?
Pros: Laid back atmosphere, Cool specials, Great Prices
