Brewery Ommegang
Location: Cooperstown, New York
Founded: 1997

One of the few American breweries that concentrates solely on producing Belgian-style beers, Brewery Ommegang’s small catalog of award winning brews has done a remarkable job expanding the popularity of the style in America. After being bought by Duvel in 2003, Ommegang’s exposure grew even more, and now reaches store shelves in 45 states. Despite its availability, brewmaster Don Feinberg’s managed to keep his vision of producing authentic European beer in tact and continues to brew in the same Belgian-style farmhouse from which his business started.
