British brewer Harvey and Son’s bold Christmas Ale is unique among your standard fare of holiday beers. A malty barley wine, Harvey’s Christmas Ale is dense and syrupy and comes on strong with a potent 8.1% ABV punch. It would be great on a late snowy evening or with a spiced desert like a warm apple pie. If Santa Klaus were a drinking man (and judging by his picture on the bottle and his constantly rosy cheeks, he is), we’d wager he wouldn’t mind sipping on one of these while laying out the toys.
