Longoria Parker joins beer firm

eva-longoriaEva Longoria Parker is the new face of Dutch beer giant Heineken. The Desperate Housewives star appears in a new TV ad campaign for the brewer’s new brand Heineken Light. In the commercial, two fans are upgraded to courtside seats alongside Longoria at a basketball game involving her husband Tony Parker’s team the San Antonio Spurs. Speaking to WENN at the ad’s Texas shoot, Longoria Parker said, “It’s always nice to get upgraded. I hope sitting next to me is an upgrade!”

‘Beer Bandit’ Gets In & Out In 53 Seconds

CLARK COUNTY, Ohio—Authorities continued to look for a suspect deputies dubbed the “Beer Bandit.”A cart loaded with 10 cases of beer means a party, right? Deputies said it was a crime. A Clark County man walked out of a grocery store with what Clark County sheriff’s deputies said was all the beer the shopping cart could hold. Deputies said the male was able to get out of the store with the stolen beer because of the number of people out to do shopping for the Fourth of July holiday. Deputies said the suspect was in and out of the store in 53 seconds. Authorities continued to search for the suspect.

Man allegedly drives drunk in golf cart on highway

A South Milwaukee man was accused of driving drunk after trying to use a golf cart to drive home nearly 40 miles away from the golf course where he had been drinking beer. The Washington County Sheriff’s Department said in a release Monday that the 47-year-old man told deputies his relatives had left him behind at the Kettle Hills Golf Course in Richfield Saturday….

Man robs doctor’s office, buys beer. Suspect is still on the loose

Michigan State Police are on the lookout for a man who they say robbed a doctor’s office and used the money to buy beer. The break-in happened just after midnight Thursday at Dr. Michael Wetters office in the 400 block of M-66 in Athens. Police say the burglar broke a window and then stole a small amount of cash from inside. He ran to a white Plymouth/Dodge minivan that was parked near W. Drive South and fled the scene. The suspect then drove to Deb’s One Stop, 126 N. Capital Ave., where police say he bought beer. The man is described as a tan white male in his 40s, about six feet tall, having brown hair, a mustache and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, ballcap and dark pants.
