Atlanta, Georgia – SweetWater Brewery will release the next batch of the Dank Tank experimental beer series, DP Barley Wine, which has 10.2% alcohol volume.

swb_danktank_bottleartSteve Farace, SweetWater Brewing Company Marketing Director, says that like previous batches, DP Barley Wine will only be available for about a month. “[It] all depends on the customer response.”

Earlier this year, SweetWater’s Dank Tank unleashed Belgian Tripple, Scotch Ale, Double IPA. All beers vary in style and taste. “There are so many styles that we are itching to brew.  To have a tank at the brewery that is a toy for the brewers of SweetWater has been a blast,” Nick Nock, head brewer at SweetWater, said.

Keep your eye out for their next flavors, High Grav wheat with 500 lbs of local blueberries, a local Wet Hop Harvest Ale in the fall, and a Milk Stout late fall or early winter.

SweetWater Brewing Company, makers of 420 Extra Pale Ale and a host of tasty brews, began its dream of free beer till their dying day in a seedy office park on the west side of Atlanta in 1996. Today, five years into a shiny new brewery in midtown Atlanta as the second largest craft brewer in the Southeast, SweetWater produces four year-round beers; 420 Extra Pale Ale, Blue, IPA, and Georgia Brown, as well as a slew of Catch and Release seasonals, and the Dank Tank series of experimental beers.
