The name was inspired by most of life’s questions. The answer is usually that you have “NO IDEA.” But there’s one thing they do know and that is how to run a bar. With one of Manhattan’s best stocked jukeboxes, who they have named Slick, the music is always setting the mood. Aside from their cheap dinks, they founded a “Name Night.” With a calendar posted for every month, each night a new name is posted. If the name of the night is yours, you drink for free from 5PM – 11 PM. But there is one rule—you are only eligible for free drinks if you bring friends. No Idea has a short, but sweet happy hour from 5 – 6 PM where mixed drinks are only $3. With a new state-of-the-art tap system, they serve the coldest draught beer on the East Side. No Idea serves draught pints that range from $4 – $6, and their ice-cold bottles are $4 – $5. If you get hungry and you ask someone for a menu, don’t be surprised when they hand you a stack of menus. No Idea has gathered a collection of menus from every place in the neighborhood. Make your choice (recommend the sushi from next door), call in the order, and have them deliver it to your table or to the back room if you decide to play pool.

Pros: Cheap drinks, diverse crowd, and Name Night.

Cons: Lack of décor, and minimal list of beers.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5
